To become a Master Measurer, one must already be an Official Measurer for at last one year and take the Master Measurer?s Course.
The course consists of an instructional seminar and scoring the provided 25 trophy animals within 3% accuracy in the allocated time. Twelve of the twenty-five trophies to be scored are antlered game. Only a Master Measurer may certify a Top 20 entry or one that is nominated for a Major Award.

Nisin from Australia hunted with us last weekend and took home a beautiful white tahr. It was whirl wind of a trip, but fun.
July involved trophy hunts with a ‘local’ flavour as can be seen below in these photos of kiwi (New Zealand) hunters enjoying their time with Mt Cook Trophy Hunting.
Col and his wife Alita from Australia hunted with us in June 2013. They managed to get some nice trophies before the big snow came in. (from Australia)
The snow was deep throughout the area this week. Here is a photo of the team needing to use the chopper to get about. More pics soon from the big snow.
Just a few photos we took while visiting our Mt Cook Trophy Hunting grounds. They appear more inquisitive when we were unarmed!
Wells Askew came over from America to join his brother, Nathan Askew of Bullet Safaris, for a week of adventure. Although he had a few issues with his rifle keeping up with his baggage on the way over, Wells had a fabulous time at the Lodge and out hunting with Nathan.
Dr Craven’s and his lovely wife Cindy from America joined us for a week of adventure seeing in the big snow for the season. The Craven’s also took a heli-assisted hunt up into the snowy mountains to get a Tahr. It was an amazing experience for them.
